• Dr. Dietmar Elsler has been working as a Senior Research Project Manager at the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in Bilbao (EU-OSHA), Spain, since 2006.
• At EU-OSHA, Dr. Elsler is head of the projects on Supporting Compliance, International Supply Chains, Economic Aspects of Occupational Safety and Health, Coordination of campaign partners (e.g. Air Products, Boehringer, Toyota, Siemens, SAP) and supports the development of the interactive data visualization OSH Barometer

Regine Maegerlein is the Global Head of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) at ZF Lifetec, a global leader in occupant safety systems including airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels. With 27 years of EHS experience, Regine has led the development and implementation of Safety Leadership and Employee Involvement programs as well as technical EHS programs and EHS Management Systems across regional and corporate roles in the automotive supplier industry.

She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and is a certified Safety Officer. Regine is a long-standing contributor to the EU OSHA Healthy Workplaces Campaigns and serves on the Campaign Partner Steering Group. Her involvement includes input to research on advanced robotics and AI-based systems for task automation and occupational safety and health (OSH), reflecting her commitment to innovation and future-ready safety strategies. She has also participated and contributed in a series of workshops related to the impacts of climate change on OSH.

Beatrice Aelterman is an experienced occupational health and safety leader with a strong track record in the pharmaceutical, luxury, and construction sectors. As Global Head of Occupational Health & Safety at Boehringer Ingelheim, Beatrice has driven international EHS programs, led global health and wellbeing governance, and managed complex integration and digitalization projects.

A qualified EHS auditor, Beatrice has ensured compliance across sites worldwide while fostering a culture of prevention and continuous improvement. Known for strategic leadership and change management, Beatrice has developed training initiatives and advanced sustainability practices, aligning health and safety with business performance. Committed to safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces, Beatrice brings expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and proactive strategies to support organizational resilience and well-being.

Dr Gyula Szabó is an ergonomist specialising in occupational safety and health. He serves as a university lecturer and researcher at Óbuda University in Budapest, where he also contributes to the Doctoral School of Safety and Security Sciences. He has played a pivotal role in advancing education in occupational safety and ergonomics across Central Europe. This includes initiating and coordinating the CEEPUS "Ergonomics and Human Factors Regional Educational" mobility network, which connects ten universities in the region.

Additionally, Dr Szabó has coordinated Erasmus+ projects such as HEDY (Life in the AI Era), which explores the impact of artificial intelligence on work and develops innovative educational materials in occupational safety and ergonomics.

In his professional roles, he represents the Hungarian Ergonomics Society at the national Focal Point of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. At the EU level, he serves as a delegate of the Federation of European Ergonomics Societies (FEES) within the Agency's Partnership Network and is a member of its Steering Committee. Dr Szabó is also a Registered European Ergonomist and an assessor for the Centre for Registration of European Ergonomists.

Internationally, he holds the position of Councillor of the International Ergonomics Association and has chaired its Safety & Health Technical Committee. Through these efforts, he has made a significant contribution to strengthening cooperation among education, research, and professional practice in occupational safety and ergonomics throughout Europe.

Moritz Schneider is a software engineer and mathematician who serves as Team Lead for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA, DGUV). He heads the Competence Centre for AI and Big Data and is deputy head of Software Engineering and Data Science. His work advances usable, trustworthy AI for prevention and occupational safety and health. As training lead for the DGUV/IFA dual study programmes in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, he mentors early-career engineers and bridges theory and practice. He lectures at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. His doctoral research focuses on sensor-based detection of near falls to support safer work and prevention. His research and activities contribute to national and European initiatives on AI governance, quality, and safe deployment in occupational safety and health. In September 2023, he received the PEROSH Early Stage Research Award from the Partnership for European Research in Occupational Safety and Health.
