Stefania Marassi (Senior Lecturer and Researcher at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS))

Stefania Marassi is a Senior Lecturer in European Labour Law, coordinator of the Law & Tech professional advisory committee, and a researcher with the Smart Sensor Systems research group at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands). She is also an external PhD candidate at Leiden University, where she is writing a dissertation on the use of wearable technology in the workplace.

Her research examines the legal issues arising from the deployment of wearables for occupational health and safety (OSH) monitoring, focusing on the legal implications from a data protection and OSH perspective, as well as the application of the new Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). She won an NWO (Dutch Research Council) grant to carry out this research.

Stefania Marassi is a member of the editorial board of the International Labor Rights Case Law Journal and has worked as legal consultant on European projects exploring the impact of technological innovation on the workplace and transnational collective labour relations.
