Bogdan Deleanu (Brussels Liaison Manager, EU-OSHA)

With over 17 years of experience in the EU institutions, Bogdan Deleanu is the current Brussels Liaison for the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work since January 2025. He studied political science and international relations in Bucharest and Brussels, drafted articles on disinformation and EU affairs and has worked for the UN in a peacekeeping mission. Recently, he covered social innovation in the European Commission and led the cabinet of the chair of the Employment and Social Affairs Committee in the European Parliament 2019-2024. He is a co-founder of Europuls, the leading EU-affairs think tank in Romania and has a wide experience on digital and social affairs.

Brando Benifei (AI Act Co-rapporteur at the European Parliament)

Brando Benifei has served as MEP for the Italian Democratic Party since 2014. He was re-elected twice, in 2019 and in 2024. He is an alumnus of the University of Bologna.

In 2020, he joined the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age. In this capacity, he serves as the Parliament's lead rapporteur on the Artificial Intelligence
Act (2021). Since 2021, he has been part of the Parliament's delegation to the Conference on the Future of Europe.

During his first term from 2014 until 2019, he served on the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. In 2019, he moved to the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection
In addition to his committee assignments, he is also a member of multiple EP Intergroups, including the Parliament Intergroup on Anti-Corruption, and MEP alliances, including the MEP Alliance for Mental Health.
In 2024, he was the joint winner of the “MEP of the Mandate” awards at The Parliament Magazine’s annual MEP Awards.

David Timis (Senior Fellow in AI Governance, Global Governance Institute)

David Timis is a Global Communications & Public Affairs Manager at Generation, one of the largest skilling and employment nonprofits in the world, where he oversees the organisation's storytelling globally and advocacy work at an EU level. He speaks regularly about AI and the risks and opportunities it presents for people, businesses, and society.
He is also the Community Champion for the BeNeLux & France region, Co-Lead for the 2025 edition of SHAPE Europe & Eurasia, and Longevity Economy Taskforce Member within the Global Shapers Community (a young leaders initiative of the World Economic Forum).

He previously led the EU Civics Outreach efforts at Google during both the 2019 and 2024 EU Elections, and before that he was a UN Youth Delegate representing Romania. His career spans a range of public, private and third sector organisations including L'Oreal, Mars Inc., Burson (formerly known as BCW), Chatham House, and the Council of Europe.

With a career at the crossroads of technology, workforce development, and policy, David has been deeply involved in shaping conversations on skilling, education, AI governance, and digital transformation. His work spans from advising companies on their AI strategy to navigating the complexities of AI training for some of the world’s most influential brands.

Whether discussing the ethical implications of machine learning, the future of work in an AI-driven economy, or the regulatory challenges facing big tech companies, David brings a unique perspective grounded in both leading research and real-world implementation.

Jovana Karanovic (Founder and Managing Director of Reshaping Work)

Jovana Karanovic is an Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and the Founder of Reshaping Work Foundation. She is a leading expert in the platform economy and digital innovations, having published in renowned business journals like MIT Sloan Management Review and Journal of Management Studies. Reshaping Work's conferences stand out for their unique multi-stakeholder approach, bringing together companies, academics, policy makers, unions, and other relevant stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of work in the digital era. These events, held globally, feature leading experts and present cutting-edge research insights to drive positive change. Furthermore, Jovana has been recognized by the media outlet Silicon Canals as one of Amsterdam's most powerful female ecosystem builders. Jovana is a frequent speaker at academic and industry events. Her notable appearances include TEDx Amsterdam, where she spoke about 'The Side of the Platform Economy You Haven't Seen', and World Summit AI, where she spoke about ‘Unleashing AI for efficiency and equity in labor platforms’. Most recently, Jovana received a prestigious NWO grant from the Dutch government to explore algorithmic resistance in platform markets.
